Veggie Tables

Would you believe me if I said I woke up in the middle of the night with the idea for “Veggie Tables”? Veggie Tables... Vege-tables...Veggie to Tables, do you get it? Much like popular fresh food providers today, I wanted to ship quality ingredients to households without any of the harsh chemicals or preservatives.

During this case study, I focused on the designs that would be needed to ship farm-fresh vegetables to people’s doorsteps. This study included a box design, seed packet, recipe card, and of course, a receipt.

I wanted the brand to feel fresh and clean; because of this I used colors such as greens or light yellows which would often be found with vegetables. Vegetables can sometimes be portrayed as boring, but we combated that with unique vegetable illustrations, patterns, and a fun script font.

The Details

Throughout the process of Veggie Tables I focused on details that would unify the purpose of the brand.

The background elements although represented in the logo, were meant to signify the rolling hills that your veggies were grown on.

Through the usage of both color and playful icons, I hoped to stimulate a lighthearted and remembrance of a simpler time when cooking your dinner.

Lastly, the box was created with the mindset of giving back and making moments that matter. When creating the unit, I included instructions with the hope it would be repurposed into a mini garden; leaving no scraps behind and having the ability to include your used veggies as compost for rich soil.
Veggie Tables is a fictional brand created for the completion of a class.
