Ampersands
I absolutely love the variety in ampersand shapes, curves, and overall feel. This project demonstrated the different mediums I had practiced during my Master of Arts degree.
The first piece will exhibit a medium that any person, including non-designers, have done. This first ampersand was designed and then printed on a regular printer.
The next print is consistent with the technique “Screen Printing”. This work is multiple thin layers of paint to complete the final artwork. You can learn more about this process by reading the panel above this piece.
The third ampersand, I used a technique called “Papercut” which includes layers of paper to complete the piece. You can learn more about thisprocess by reading the panel above this piece.
Lastly, this ampersand included all three techniques to create a unique piece. Looking at the art, you can see the use of printing, screen printing, and papercut.
